• Apple Slushy

    3 cups of Apple Cider
    1-1/2 cups of Autunno wine
    1/2 cup of simple syrup
    Sprinkle of cinnamon
    Dash of vanilla

Mix together and place in slushy machine.

In lieu of a slushy machine, the wine can be placed into ice cube trays and frozen. Then place the frozen ice cubes, along with the other ingredients into a blender. Blend to desired consistency.

  • Vin Brule`

    1 bottle of Sasso Rosso
    ½ cup of sugar*
    1 orange
    2 cinnamon sticks
    1 star anise pod
    10 whole cloves

Pour one cup of the Sasso Rosso wine into a pot, along with ½ cup of sugar.

    Mix over a low heat.

Thinly peel a small portion of the orange; get as little as possible of the white bitter part. Place in a pot. Then, slice the orange into rings, the fourths. Place in pan and squeeze the ends of the orange and place both into the pot. Stir

Add cinnamon sticks and cloves, stir. Bring to a low boil, constantly stirring to dissolve the sugar.

When the mixture reaches boiling temperature, add the star anise pod and the balance of the wine. Stir until it begins to steam - do not let it boil.

Strain the contents from the pan and serve. Place in a thermal container to keep warm.

Caution: Do not leave the wine with the fruit/spice or boil, as it will taste like cooked wine.

*You can create a simple syrup in lieu of the sugar. Boil all the spices in the water, strain, then add the sugar as normal for a simple syrup.
